Kurt has just explained to me I have been doing my blog the wrong way and that is why you have to scroll down to my new post. He expects me to know how to do all this computer stuff and never mind he is the one who sets it up for me, but then forgets to show me what to do. Better late than never, and I can’t brag about what I know how to do, because my 80 year old Dad just started his own Facebook page. He has discovered that he does not like FB, but wanted to look at Kurt’s wedding pics. My sister Lorie, she does’nt like FB either, no-one needs to know her business. I beg her to get a page, but seems to be like father like daughter, except for this one. I love FB. So I will talk to you on FB or you can visit my blog to keep up with church, and family. Have a Blessed Day!

April 6th 2010
Today is my Dad’s 80th birthday, he came from Germany when he was 7 years old to the United States as Hitler was begining to take over Europe. His Mother was a newspaper reporter and without really knowing what was about to take place in Europe brought herself and son to the U.S. Later her parents and brother joined them. My dad had to learn English and his Mom worked at the Worlds Fair for a summer. Now that I begin to write this, I’m thinking I need to get Dad to write of his experiences so my kids will know their grandfathers journey.
Last Sunday (Easter) was a miletone for T.C.F., we had 331 in service the largest crowd we have ever had in the history of the church. Going to 2 services was such a huge step, and God did fill the vessel. Next Sunday we are having Curivne, and we are hoping once again to fill two services and fill the Sunday night concert.
I want to thank all our leaders for helping in both services and to all the ladies who helped in a very crowded nursery. Thanks to Lou, Chere, and Bernie who make the coffee bar work every Sunday. By the way the coffee bar is open after the 9:00 a.m. service and you can get a drink and just sit in the fellowship hall or go to lifegroup. Thanks to everyone who supported the 9:00am service we had 139 in the early service. Bascially we were full for both services. Thanks everyone and see ya next Sunday.
Happy Birthday Dad, I Love you!!

New Year Resolution 2010
The practice of making a NYR goes back over 3000 years ago to the ancient Babylonians. There is just something about a New Year that gives us a fresh start. I love a frest start, another chance to make a commitment to do something we know we should be doing. Aww commitment, it can be overwhelming and especially if we end up not keeping that NYR. My daughter, Ashley made the commitment that she would not leave things (like homework) til the last minute. It’s a great goal, but why are we not always able to keep those NYR?
Here are some common NYR to : quit smoking, to stop drinking, to manage money better, to save money, to lose weight, and to spend more time with family. Ususally we set goals that are for the physical and all good goals.
Then on the spiritual side we make NYR like: I will pray more, read my bible everyday, and to attend church more regularly. These are all great goals, but we find out there is no power in a NYR. Resolving to start or stop doing a certain activity has no value unless we have the proper motivation for stopping or starting that activity. So to keep our NYR we need to put God right smack in the middle of it.
Philippians 4:13 tells us, ” I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” The word says, that apart from God we can do nothing. If God is the center of our NYR it has a chance for success, depending on our commitment to it. If your NYR is in agreement with God’s word and (I’m sure it is) then with God’s help we can accomplish whatever we desire.
Here are 6 things you can do to make that NYR a reality:
(1.) Pray to the Lord for wisdom in regards to what resoloution he would have you to make. (2.) Pray for wisdom as how he would have you to fulfill the goals God gives you. (3.) Rely on God’s strength to help you. (4) Find an accountability partner who will help you and encourage you. (5) Love this one:Don’t become discouraged with occasional failures; instead allow them to motivate you furthur; (6.) Don’t become proud or vain, but give God the glory.
Don’t become confused about what your NYR will be, most of us know what ours is: usually something we just keep putting off or the thing we just don’t want to do. Whatever yours is, I believe you will decide to accomplish it and walk it out this new year. May God bless you in all you do and be encouraged…God is on your side.

Wow!!! I love writing 2010, it’s going to be a great year! I love Pastor’s new message “2010″, how am I going to challenge myself in 2010. That was just one of the questions that Pastor challenged us with. What are we going to do spiritually, physcially, and mentally. I love it!!! I want to be challenged, because if I’m not then I’m not motivated to do something I’v either never done before or to do somthing I have been putting off. Well guess what? I’v challenged my self physically and started small. Let me explain:
Last year I challenged myself spiritually to pray more, read my bible more, and study more. I have done all three and will continue in 2010. But challenge myself physically…well it’s hard. As many of you know Pastor had to lose weight this last year and we completely changed the way we eat. We are still continuing with the change, it’s not a diet it was a lifestyle change. Pastor lost the 30 pounds he needed to and we are still staying on track. During the holidays is the hardest. But we made it!!!
Pastor is the type that when he makes up his mind he is going to do it, you may see him walking the track by our house in the freezing cold, but not me. He may not answer the phone, because he is riding his stationary bike for 30 minutes, not me. I did walk last year til it got cold, but then I give up. SOOO for the new year I’m starting small I’m riding the bike for 5 minutes 3 times a week. I know, I know, just 5 minutes, but I’m already up to 7 minutes. Did you know inactivity is the worst thing you can for your health, for me it’s not about losing alot of pounds, but it is about staying healthy and I have to keep moving. So exerciese here I come. With God’s help and my determination I will accomplish what I need to do…AMEN.
Whatever you need to do this year…get started, ask God to help you keep that commitment and your on your way to a new YOU!2010 Best Year Ever!
Sunday Jan. 24th, 2010
I think Pastor preached one of the best sermons he has ever preached this morning. Notice I said one of the best. We had nine families that visited church this morning. Pastor has been saying it’s a new season and I believe it is. I want to just share a few of the statements he made through out his message:
1. Don’t send your children to church take them to church. Lead by example, we had several teenagers in church this morning and thank God for it, but where are Mom and Dad. Parent’s your the role model for your kids, they do as you do, so give thought to what kind of example you are.
2.Anywhere we go outside of Christ for comfort brings addiction…you might have to think on that for a minute, but what a true statement. Think about what brings you comfort.
3. Pastor said this morning that when you get to heaven Jesus is gonna ask, Do you know me and who did you bring with ya. Your not taking anything to heaven except other people. Keep introducing your friends and family to Jesus and inviting them to church.
4. Then Pastor begged parents in this next season to not quit coming to church, that it would be the biggest mistake your family would make in 2010. If you did not get the cd of Jan. 24th come by the office and pick one up.
There is something in the air…We are having the largest crowds in GZ we have ever had and families are coming to TCF every week that have never been before. God is on the move and the life group on Wed night have been praying for revival…so keep it up and let’s have the best year ever with more salvations and God changing lives.

Do You Believe?
Heb 11:6 says, “He the comes to God must believe the he is, that God Exisits.” Some people say, “That’s the hard part, that’s what is difficult.”
NO, it is not.
The easiest thing in the world to do is to believe that God exists. It requires much effort to disbelieve; it requires no effort to believe.
Everyone in the world, without exception, starts out believeing God exists. It is only when they are trained to disbelieve that that they come to a place declaring God does not exsist.
God is all around us, that is why children have no problem with the concept of God. The concept of God ought to be one of the most difficult ideas for a child to grasp, since God cannot be seen. But the amazing thing is, children have no difficulty in believeing God exists.
It requires long and careful effort to train the mind to reject God and explain it in other terms. It is only those minds that deliberately train themselves that can claim to be atheistic.
Science cannot tell us how human history will end, but by faith I know. Science cannot tell us what is wrong with human life, why we act the way we do, but by faith I know. Science cannot tell us what lies beyond the door of death, but by faith I know. Science cannot explain the mystery of God, but by faith I KNOW.

Feb. 20th 2010
Our journey with Pastor’s mom ended on Valentine’s Day Feb, 14th. I thought it was neat that she went home to be with the Lord on that day, because she has been without Rusty’s dad for the past 37 years. I am positive he was at the gate to meet her and at last she is home. I’m sure they had the best Valentine’s Day anyone has ever had. Imagine being reunited with your true love and then seeing Heaven for the first time. OH MY, I can’t even imagine. Both of Pastor’s parents are home with the Lord and both of mine are still here on earth. My parent’s are doing great and I think they have many years, hopefully to see some great grandchildren. You notice I said hopefully, both of my married kids say, “No kids yet”. And I have to agree, Ash still has to finish school and Kurt and Meg just got married in October. They still need a couple of years to get use to married life. Or do you ever get use to married life (just kidding), but anyawy no grandkids for me yet. Unless we have an Opps I’m pregnant. LOL
Just an update on church, I’m sure you have noticed that we are full every Sunday. What to do!!! Do you think we should go to 2 services on Sunday morning? One service at 9:00 am and the next at 10:45. or do you think we should build on. Building on would be costly and there are several things we need to do to our original building. So let’s just be in prayer and pray we have wisdom. The gas station we just bought will just give us more outside room for Power Kids and will clean up the outside apperance. Such as 10 cars at a time next door to PK. I am really excited about a new fresh look for that side of town.
Joe McGee will be at church on Feb. 28th in the am and pm service. Make plans now to be there. Invite a friend or a family. I have someone I’m inviting to church, she has not come as of yet, but I know she will. Do you have someone your talking to about the Lord and inviting to church? Think about who you want to invite and we will see you at church this Sunday.
